1967 k20

Found a 67 K20 but I can't figure out what the exterior color would have been originally. Spid lists paint code 4521 on top, perhaps someone can decipher for me? I know 67 interior metal color varies from the exterior. Also check out the weird interior color combo by the way. Anyone have a pic of this combo fixed up? I think its called fawn/red

I am not certain but I think 4521 is white.

I can't make it out clear from your picture, but here are the 1967 GMC paint codes.

Re: 1967 k20

Well there is a problem here, the 521 codes as a white exterior (ditzer 8080) which in turn codes to an med. blue poly interior color (ditzer 13391) on conv. cab trucks other than 02 and 12, which were the chassis-cowl and windshield-cowl models. All the glove box doors were argent base color.

So as this dosen't match the red vinyl there must be a typo. somewhere.
Did you / can you peek under the windshield or rear window gaskets and see any color hints both inside and out?

BTW: Thought you were into "Blue" trucks! :-)

Re: 1967 k20

Thanks guys for the help.

Yes, blue is my favorite color but I had to check this one out due to the coolness of 67's and the rarity of a 67 K20. They only made about 2000 K20's that year and factoring in how many were wrecked/scrapped, theres got to be what, only a couple hundred or so left? Compare this to 270,000 C10's made in 1972!

Re: 1967 k20

Understand completely, been watching for a '67 K20 panel forever. Building one up would be doable, but having one of the 8built is worth the quest.

Re: 1967 k20

Also dug up a period picture of a white w/red interior '67. Note the red metal is clearly evident but this does not match the color chart for useage. So I'm guessing the chart dosen't refelect the whole picture and its going to take a '67 data book to clear up.
