Thanks Ray.

Not much of an update.
Still have a LOT to do,...

I may have to take you up on that.
They will probably end up on my red '69 swb.
But I'll have to switch it to 5-lug first.
Did you have to modify them 338's to get them to fit? I thought I heard somewhere they don't have the exact backspacing or something? Maybe I am wrong, they look damn nice on that truck though!

Looking good. I have a odd ball question. I've noticed a few of these home made jack stands. Is that regular 2x4's with 3/4 plywood in between? thanks

Yes.
I think the bottom layer has 2x6's.

These are very handy.
I stole the idea from n2billet!

I have 73-87 Light Duty spindles with 1" rotors.
And a Dropmember up front.
They fit perfect.

Re: Project: Ginger

Grey centers are the only wheels I would run on this truck.

Awesome progress Keith. Looks good laid out on those 338's.

Good question, I'll look and see what I can find out.

Edit: I googled 20 inch salt flats and found this site. There's not much info there or on the American Racing website, but maybe they can email something out.
This site has 20X8 and 20 X9.5

Re: Project: Ginger

Those are all good looking wheels. The only problem with them is the are not soft lip. The step lip makes the wheels look much smaller, and doesn't have the same visual impact. Trust me on this one...

Main reason I have been procastinating on upgrading more stuff on my truck. I hate problems and complications specially when I already have my truck finished for three years. then I see all of you guys building this amazing trucks and it makes me want to continue.

Re: Project: Ginger

Nice clean project. I agree that without a booster on the master cylinder I find the brakes do quite well and alot cleaner. How much was that wilwood master cylinder worth??

Re: Project: Ginger

Made some small progress on Ginger.
I dug out my NOS core support and installed the LF fender,... finally.

This fender had a nasty dent right on top of the bodyline and wheelwell.
I wish I could say I was like n2billet,... but even with his expert advise,... I couldn't seem to get this dent worked out.
So I took it to a "friend of a friend" who hammered it out for me.
It's not perfect,... but it's 100 times better.

The LF Slosh Tub got bolted in, after careful cutting and grinding.

I also spent an hour or so trying to hammer out a dent in my original grille shell.
It will be nice enough for a driver,... but I'll be using a new outer grille on this truck.
Here's a couple pics of todays progress.
(sorry for the crappy pics)
