Which brake calipers?
I put an '84 front crossmember under my 1/2T '68 pickup and added 1 1/4" thick brake rotors. Local parts shops say they don't have a caliper to fit a 1 1/4" rotor. I need these rotors because I am going to run 6-lug wheels and all 6-lugs rotors are 1 1/4". Can someone advise me what calipers I need? Thanks

Re: Which brake calipers?
You need a different parts store.
1-1/4" HD rotors have been around since 1971. 73-87 applications could also have the Light Duty 1" rotors. Which spindles do you have? Everything has to match. Spindles, rotors, calipers, and bearings. To answer your question,... Go purchase a set of '73 calipers. They will require a 7/16-20 banjo bolts to connet the rubber brake hose. Later (80-87) calipers require a 10mm metric banjo bolt.
