Help! I thnk I screwed up my shift linkage!
I replaced the turn signal system on my 69 C10 automatic. Just about had all back together. Reinstalled the gear shift. All lined up just fine. Then like a DA I pulled the shifter back with out the steering wheel or the nut on the column! The that holds the streering wheell in place. Shifter and shift tube came up about an inch and now I cant get back down. From working on these thngs in a previous century many decades ago i beleive i have the shift mechanism at the base of the column out of line. Is there anyway to get them back in line with out tearing the whole thing apart?
