Re: Overload Springs

Are these the factory type 1/2 leaves? If so, what would shipping to Leander TX 7861 be? Could you post photos, please?

Re: Overload Springs

Wideside, I will take photos for you tonight when I get home and also figure out shipping. If you look in my build thread in my signature and go to the last pictures, you will see a photo of them before I removed them from the truck.

Let me know if those pictures answer your questions.

Re: Overload Springs

WIDESIDE,

Two things:

I just got home, went to the garage, and took these photos for you.

1. On one bracket, the piece that mounts to the frame looks like it was cut. I didnt see this before for some reason, but I at least wanted to make you aware of it. If you dont want them, I completely understand. This was my fault for not seeing it.

2. I measured the springs and I will need a box 24x24x6 and I estimated roughly 20 pounds after physically picking them up. I guessed on the 20 pounds. USPS is still telling me $20.16 to ship.

If you want them still, I will take the hit on the shipping costs to uphold my word. Let me know if you want them and PM me your address. I will ship them today.

Can you tell what the purpose of the cut was?

Re: Overload Springs

I honestly cant. They were on the truck when I bought it 8 years ago and I just now noticed it after taking them off.

I cant tell you that there are 4 bolts that go into the side of each bracket and 4 for the bottom of each bracket. With that one bracket being minus one hole, you will still have 7 bolts in it. It never moved for me or ever presented a problem, but it is up to you if you would still like them.

Just let me know.

Hi 70 Chevy.
I'm fairly new here but if possible I wouldn't mind being next in line for a shot at these if they aren't gone yet.
Thanks!
