1/2 a Holley on a 383....

Yesterday, I pulled the intake & resealed it on the longhorn.....started thinking about that 500 Holley 2 brl that came of the kids wrecked ranger. well I stuck it on today after removing the 750 edelbrock. The old chev doesnt wind quite as high(5800-6000 vs 7200 in the 1st couple gears with the 750).....but talk about some freakin awsome throttle responce! I took it for a run & lit the first 3 gears.....she got a little squirley. I think a 750 DP holley is needed to pull all the fun out of that sb crazyL

D@mn, 59 veiws......but nobody likes big 2 brl carbs? I did a little more tuning today(couple more # on the jets, & tightened the iggie curve a tad)....that chev is "hell on wheels"! I "bumbed" a set of jets from one of the neighbors, & heard the story .....We heard you playin"that f&*%er was gitin it! Yea, the 1st 3 gears were buried in smoke CrazyL......I flat refuse to "grow up"

That's what I like to hear. Stubbornness...Never grow up. It's fun to tweak with different setups. You never know what you'll come up with if you don't try it. I'll bet that 2-bbl drinks alot more than that eldebrok did....Course you haven't really been testing it's economical performance eh !

Yea man, that 500 2 brl will eat more fuel than a 700-750 cfm 4 brl.......the throttle response is "freakin spooky " tho.....just what you want on a street bound /heavy Economy....whats that? crazyL
