Caution Fan decal???

Did any of these trucks have a Fan Caustion Decal on the shroud? My 69 has the inline 250 with the little tiny useless shroud, and when that black stock fan is spinning you cant even see it.

Re: Caution Fan decal???

I do not ever remember seeing one, especially on the 6. Maybe they figured we were smart enough to stay out of the fan's way.

The funny thing is the 60's era camaro's, chevelle's, Nova's should not have the caution fan sticker either. Too many people put them on thinking they are correct. Not sure about the truck crowd, I have a Camaro so I have seen this debated on the Camaro's a few times.

Re: Caution Fan decal???

I don't know if these trucks had a sticker but if you want one, truckandcarshop.com lists one that supposedly is for 67-72 and is black and orange p# 67-17112

Don't do it... the sticker is paper based and will disintegrate as soon as it gets wet... ask me how I know....

Our trucks were built in a time when common sense was popular. Now we have signs and devices to make sure the stupid will live a long life.

Common sense isn't so common any more.

Re: Caution Fan decal???

We have had LOTS of these trucks and to the best of my knowledge none of the 67-72 trucks came with any sticker on the fan shroud. Maybe some others have an opinion.

Re: Caution Fan decal???

No fan sticker on my 69... ever. The only stickers I recall under the hood are the valve cover sticker(lost most of it the first time I washed the engine), emissions sticker, air cleaner sticker, the A/C compressor decal and the blue "Harrison" sticker on the A/C evaporator box.
