Which Master Cylinder Bore Size?

Looking to purchase my Wilwood master cylinder and Wilwood proportioning valve so that I can finally finish up my brake system but I'm unclear on which bore size I need. I am running Wilwood D52 dual piston calipers front and back with 3/16" stainless steel brake lines. I plan on getting this proportioning valve:

There are 3 different bore sizes available: 7/8", 1" or 1 1/8". Which bore size do I need for my application?

I think the stock size is 1 1/16. I wish I could help recomend which one. You could call wilwood. 1 inch will give more pressure less volume, 1 1/8 will give more volume less pressure. I hope someone chimes in, im interested to know which aluminum master will work well also.

I'm going to use the 1" bore without a booster on my stepside.
3/16" brake lines also.

I forgot to mention that I'll also be running an 8" dual diaphragm booster as well.

I highly recommend calling the tech dept at Wilwood. That is what I did years ago on my build, and they pointed me in the right direction. Paul

I spoke to the tech dept. at Wilwood and they told me to use the 1 1/8" bore for my setup. Just thought you guys might be interested in their recommendation.

1 1/8 bore is what we have been useing on wilwood master and this is with out a booster and it works great with wilwood d52 this way.

So you know we have these instock and have some great prices on them !!!

Jay / Keith - can you give any detail into what you had to do with the brake pedal pushrod with these MC?

Wilwood stated the 7/8 MC came with a new pushrod but the 1 and 1 1/8" bores did not.

Does the factory pushrod work with no issues?

My master cylinder push rod worked fine.
You want between 1/8" and 1/4" freeplay in the pedal pushrod.

Thanks Keith, I'm going with the 1" manual setup as well so Good to know it worked for you
