GM AC/heat control
As I indicated in an earlier post, I was searching for a new AC/heat control. One of the members indicated that he had bought a genuine GM one from a Chevy for a few bucks less than the counterpart repop. I had assumed that they were not available any longer. Called a local Chevy dealer and although not in stock they were available in 3-5 days. $200 list and he'd discount it to $150. GM Parts Giant online had it for $135.59 plus shipping of $17 which was cheaper than the local was when adding 8 3/4% sales tax. In any event, they appear to be still available. I believe that GM Parts giant goes through Rinker? Chevrolet in California as that is the number they gave me to ascertain availability for sure before I ordered. Just an FYI in case someone else is in the same need.
