Chrome (or black) lugs nuts

Anyone put chrome acorns on factory steel wheels? Wondering about the length since the factory studs are so long.

Could grind the end down since it serves no real purpose?

Re: Chrome (or black) lugs nuts

They make different lengths of the chrome lug nuts. I put a set on my factory 20" chrome spoke rims and they were the longer nuts to clear the tips of the studs. Check out the attached and look at the extra long lug nut in the lower corner.
