Re: trcuks got a shake

an unbalanced driveshaft can do it so can u joints as long as youve eliminated the usual front end suspects and tires

Re: trcuks got a shake

I had the same thing with my truck and went crazy trying to figure it out. Wheels, Tires, axles , drive shaft. I had a lot of little gremlins in there. My seat would shake left to right at about 50 to 55. After beating my brains out on this the only thing I had not changed was the brake brums. To my amazment it got rid of about 60 percent of it. I still had a little tire issue and a little drive shaft issue. But finding the biggest problem helped to find the smaller problem. There may be more than one thing causing your shake. Just keep plugging at it . You will figgure it out.

Re: trcuks got a shake

The steering stabilizer is a horizontally mounted "shock absorber" on the drivers side in front of the axle. I think 2wd's had them...?

Re: trcuks got a shake

i had vibration at the same speed as you (50 mph). after flipping the axle it corrected the angles and went away. you could check the pinion angles
