Help! drop spindle question

Dont shoot me! Ive been a board member since 07 and have had countless 47-66 chevy trucks.
But I currently am working on a 1953 OT truck setting on a 85 C10 chassis...

I bought this to throw together a quick shoptruck, but being the front is borderline too wide for the OT front sheetmetal, I know I have work to do.

It already has 3" DJM drop spindles and 2" drop coils.

One question I have is...

Anyone run a 3" drop spindle with 15" steel wheels?

I found 15x5 steelies at Summit with 3.5" b.s. so I think those will pull wheels in to clear truck coming down over wheels/tires.

But with junk rollers on it, and no caliper yet, it just looks weird, like not enough room for rotor n caliper and no scrub..
maybe Im just seeing things...

just remember, its a 85 C10 chassis...

One more thing is, with the 3" spindles and 2" coils, theres still 4" of space before bumpstop bottoms out...?
Even with a 283 sitting in there, it didnt drop much. Seems weird to me.

Ok. One more thing..
If I chose to replace my new DJM 3" drop spindles with 2.5", what brand can I buy that uses 1" rotor so i can swap 91 Camaro rotors to get 5x4.75 pattern for the wheels I need to run?
because, as of now, I 'll have to spend another 80 getting my 5x5 redrilled to 5x4.75. thats only way to get those 15x5 wheels with 3.5 bs...

3.5" BS should work with a 3" spindle- any more than that becomes problematic. Belltech makes the LD (1" rotor) spindles- they are 3" drop, too. You will use the Camaro 1LE Heavy Duty rotors to convert to 5x4.75. Is all of the sheet metal hanging? 2" springs, I think, would have you closer than 4" from the bumpstop...

Yes, all...well, the front fenders and front grille and rad support is hanging. No motor, trans, rad, hood etc. hell, there is any interior or glass in cab right now either. So alot of weight to be added.

Im wondering, if I buy the belltech spindles, will they bolt right on and just use 1" rotors? I still need to buy calipers anyway.

Im gonna see if Summit will take the DJM spindles back since they were mounted but never left garage.
I'll buy the belltech 3" spindles and go with camaro rotors.
I heard the djm's push the wheels out some, do the belltech's as well?

Yes, the only ones I'm aware of that don't move the wheels out are from CPP. They do not offer a 1" rotor version, though. They may be able to do a car pattern rotor on their modular spindle- couldn't hurt to ask...
