Need some info...
What is a floor shift column for a 70 worth? I'm thinking of swapping my AT column for a floor shift column and using an aftermarket shifter in a console. Let me know guys, thanks

I PUT BUCKET SEATS IN EVERY TRUCK I BUILD FOR ME SO IT'S NATURAL TO GO WITH A FLOOR SHIFTER. USUALLY I USE THE B&M LIGHT TRUCK MEGASHIFTER & A BLAZER OR TRUCK CONSOLE. THEY LOOK GREAT. FOR MY NEXT PROJECT, I BOUGHT A LO-KAR SHIFTER. I HAVEN'T USED IT YET, BUT IT SURE LOOKS GOOD. LOL

From personal experience, I can tell you that the AT columns are a dime a dozen, but I had the hardest time finding a column for floor shift. By all means, trade that guy even. Even if you change your mind you can find an AT column for cheap.

Hmm I have found that things are the exact opposite, I want a AT column meanwhile I am sittiing on 2 manual columns.
Is a 69-70 AT column the same as a 71-72, the indicator is a bit different isnt it? Does anyone have comparsion pics? |

Gee_Emm, the indicator is the only thing I am aware of, and they swap right out no problem.
