1973 C10+1991 Suburban
So......... what I'm wondering is what will swap? What bolts on? What works and what can be made to work? I know its alot to ask....... but I want to hear from experience? The 73 has disc brakes (not power) its the bare bones model heater only, 1991 Sub is fully loaded 350 tbi/700r ......... so what have you swapped between these two years... I guess this would literally be 1st to last which I think is kinda cool bonding 2 trucks nearly 20 years apart..... I hope this gets lots of attention

Are you planning on business the truck or the suburban? Most everything will swap some things need minor moss but fairly easy to do.
I would pull the motor / tranny, brake booster, gauges and power doors from the burb and put them on the truck. Sell the front clip and back doors from the burb, these parts are worth a little change.

Re: 1973 C10+1991 Suburban
Im planning on modernizing my pickup, with the burbs luxuries, I wont be utilizing the tbi, I will take the eng/trans,brake set up, may take the whole front cross member and front suspension, multi speed wiper motor, fuel tank, steering column+(73 is 3 on the column) brake pedal assembly, radiator, ....... im kinda curious about the modifications that would need to be done and how..... not saying im gonna do everything but would like all options here... bumpers? Dash, bezel, dash pad, glove box fuse block? Anything? Everything? Holler if ya hear me. Just realistic things that can be done...

Re: 1973 C10+1991 Suburban
If you use the 91 column you will need the steering shaft also since the bolt on the 73 goes through the column and the 91 sits in a groove.

Re: 1973 C10+1991 Suburban
What if I just take the 21 year old steering box and replace the 40 year old one on my truck????

If you use the newer bumpers with the older body, the back will be fine but the front will crunch into the fenders at the top of the very ends of the bumper.
