Ok guys, thanks to this forum, my '86's lockup is hooked back up for the first time in many years. Works great! Until the truck gets warmed up, maybe 5-10 miles of driving... Then it quits locking up.. If I'm guessing correctly, the solenoid may be sticking?

That may be correct or...........if yours was equipped with a temperature switch mounted to the valve body, it may be faulty. You would have to remove the pan though to check for it.... Many setups did NOT come with it and if you do have it, you can remove it and jump the wires....
