Re: trucks gone crazy

Any chance the ignition switch was stuck in the "start" position?

I had an '89 that did similar. Going down the road (2:00am) and gauges freaked and the lights shut off. I'm still driving! (55mph, no less)

Turned out to be the engine to firewall ground broke. Most of the time it made decent contact, but flex the truck just right...

Just happened to find it tracing some wire looking for burn't/cut spots and hit it with my hand.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

I know it's work'n now. but you cycles like normal ? you mean the key cycle's, the actual ignition switch is at the bottom of the collum, it could stick and the seem normal.
worth check'n to see if the rod is bind'n some where.

Re: trucks gone crazy

I also think it may be a ground. Check them all over well, if in doubt add extras.
