65 c20 needs ebrake
Hello everyone
I converted my truck rear end over to disc brakes but by doing that I lost me ebrake, so the question is does any one know of a easy way to put a ebrake on the rear end or transmission, I have read a lot of about different ways to do it, but Im hoping that someone here has already done it. and maybe they can tell me the challenges I may run into. thank you in advance..

Re: 65 c20 needs ebrake
I'm not aware of any factory trans mounted e-brakes for the 700R4 such as used on the TH475's used in motorhomes and medium duty trucks. You might have to fabricate a pinion brake if you can't find one already made. Are you running a 14 bolt or Dana 60?

Re: 65 c20 needs ebrake
No I have not.
If you had a 14 bolt, it would be easier to fabricate brackets for a pinion mounted e-brake. It could still be done on a Dana 70, but it would be more work. I do have plans to add a mechanical e-brake to some or all of my rear disc brake conversion brackets. Although I do not have a time frame for doing so. This build thread has a good looking e-brake mounted on the transfer case. That might give you some ideas. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=504535

Re: 65 c20 needs ebrake
I realized earlier today that I have not suggested the Eldorado calipers. I guess I just assumed you did not want to go that way, but that may be the simplest. Who did you get your caliper brackets from Bud?
