Thanks. This is my driver. I have owned it for alot of years now. People always ask when im going to upgrade my work truck and the answer is always the same.......... When it costs me less to get a new one than keep rebuilding this one.

Its a 4" soft ride with 35s. It works good. I can still use it as a truck but has some ground clearance for some after work fun.

Nice, it looks just right. I just did a 6" bds lift on my 76 step. I still have 33s and they look like donuts now, Im trying to decide on a tire size that looks right and wont rob too much power off the line.

I did alot of research before I lifted my truck to get just the way I wanted it. Looks alone I would have gone with 6" on 36 or 37s but for a driver work truck I decided this setup would be best for me. Unless you have a built motor id not run over a 35 without a re~gear.

Yea, Ive got 3.73s and the sm465 so a bigger tire will get my rpms down a touch on the highway which will be great. I have a 260 horse goodwrench 350 with a couple bolt ons, probably gonna add a cam once im dissapointed after the new tires. Ive pretty much decided on a 35 now. A 35x13.50 would be nice if I could find one in tread that wont be wasted in 15K.

Thats what im doing now. Staying with the taller gear to keep freeway rpm down. im running a three speed automatic. I dont do alot of drag racing or burnouts this way but I can run 75 and be at a reasonable rpm.

Thats it, Im driving about 30 miles each way to work mostly highway now so I need all the help I can get with no overdrive. Ive got that low gear in the 4 speed too, maybe that will actually be useful now for other things beside ripping trees and houses down.

when I was in high school I had a 72 blazer with a that Trans. In four low it was a crawler.

Kinda funny but not the smartest thing we used to do. We would chill in the back seat drinking beer while the blazer would chug along in low gear down some dirt trail out in the hills.

Yeah, 456s 4 low and that granny low gear and you and a buddy can split a 12 pack mile!

For me its therapeutic. I try to get out (even if its just a few hours) once a month minimum. Bring the guns and it makes for a very inexpensive afternoon.
