A/C vacuum line help
I have racked my brain. I was looking on here to where someone has asked about this topic before and finally came across it.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=66112 I'm not sure what year his control came out of, but mine doesn't have 3 spots to put vacuum lines..Just 2. does anyone have a diagram of a hookup for a '72 cheyenne with a/c? now this is how mine is hooked for now. 1 line off the engine to the vacuum ball on the heater core shroud under the hood. 1 line coming from the ball to inside the truck, that connects to the control. the other line that comes off control goes to both vacuum doors in the cowl and passenger side kick panel and some thing connect between water hoses under the hood(what is that???) if the thing under the hood works the way i think it does. when i have the control to inside air, kick panel door opens, cowl door closes, and water hose deal shuts ?? I hope this doesn't read as confused as I am.. now with the switch in outside air cowl should open, kick panel close and water open..Is that right?? Of course this is all being done with A/C on.. does it sound like I have this connect right?? Then if I got to heat/de ice. everything should still be the same.. cowl open, kick panel closed, and water deal open..which means no vacuum should get to these things.. I just don't see how the water shut off thing works,I thin it should be closed still with the switch in outside air.. Please help a lost mind find its way.. I already drink 2 many!!

Well I'll be horn swoggled..
Thanks for the diagram FILICE72C10..Thats the way I best guessed how to hook it up.. where can I get a book that has these diagrams it?? The main problem with this truck is the previous owner lost most of the accessories, and then used 73 up brackets for a/c, power steering, and alternator.. I'm working on getting the right brackets.. But a detailed book would be a coolness factor to have in there.. Thanks again guys

The assembly manual is pretty helpful as it has tons of information it it. I think most of the board vendors have them.
