should I use old wiring harness?
I was about to install a new wiring harness by kwik wire and decided to look at old wiring harness and it looks like it is in good shape. Should I use it or go all new in my 72 c-20 pickup?

Re: should I use old wiring harness?
IMHO...if you have the option of new vs 40 yo wires, I go with the new.

Re : Original Harness?
Good deal ! never toss 'em out ~ I just re wired my '69 C/10's L6 engine harness , it came to me with the usual cracked , frayed & spliced wires , you all know the drill .
I got lucky & found a badly rusted out but *untouched* twin truck in Pic-A-Part , I went for the wheels & carby , my son was rushing me so I lopped off the engine harness , later on I realized how stupid that was ~ one bolt & I could have had the whole thing from the bulkhead connector . Anyways , it all looks much better now , no more butt connectors & changing wire gauge & color every 4" . Are the re pop harness' really good ? .

Re: should I use old wiring harness?
I replaced both the font clip (head lights) and engine harnesses in my 1972 GMC. Got them from Classic Heartbeat (site sponsor). He gets them from M&H wire. They are super nice with all the factory correct mounting tabs, conectors, and even has the factory correct plastic wire channels and factory correct wire wrap. Not the black electrical tape we have all used in th past. I even got one with a HEI connection wired in so it looks factory. Direct plug and play setups.
