Putting stepside fenders on a fleet side bed

Iv been wondering if anyone has combined the two. Leave the wheel well, the tailgate, and the back piece of the bed fleet side style and add the stepside fenders. I'm new to the world is this improbable? Would this be similar to a dually set up?

Yes and no. It's not rocket science, but it's not a straight bolt on either, there is a bit of fab work to get it to look good. There are a lot of pictures floating around here of 60-66 duallies.

I like the way the body lines are on that. I think I'll nose around for something like that on mine

Those might be 50's fenders, too. The biggest issue is how you fill the gap from the flat flange of the fender to the shape of the body line.

My favorite mod it Frizzle Fry's stepside fender wheel tubs on his C5 Vette/Truck. Using a pair of fenders to make a double sided wheel tub.

Re: Putting stepside fenders on a fleet side bed

Who's going to be the first guy to narrow a fleetside bed down to a stepside? Anyone up for the challenge? Photochoppers?

Re: Putting stepside fenders on a fleet side bed

I'm working on widening a stepside bed to work on a dually. I'm going to use a fleetside tailgate and front panel and add some inner fenders.
