Update!! This thread is not dead!!!!!
Just got a pic of the 1st progress on Dad's truck! Been awhile but good things come to those who wait , right?!?!?!!!!!!  The plan to keep it as original as possible has changed a bit. We decided to put a '76 Nova front end and a 350 in it. Now it'll get A/C, power steering etc.. My buddy (builder) said he's gonna move the rear end back a few inches to get the tires centered in the wheel well. From the factory they look off centered towards the front a bit. We're not looking to make a hot-rod as much as it'll be more of a "get in and drive where ever you want" type restore. My buddy keeps saying " It's gonna be a bad ass truck!!!!" It already is  Super excited to see some progress and very fortunate to have a buddy who is taking care of me and who's just as excited about the truck as I am!!!

I am the new guy and maybe a bit of an outsider, with a '57 panel, but....
I scanned the supplier recommendations and didn't see SPEEDWAYMOTORS.com mentioned. They are in Nebraska and say they have been in business for 60-years. I love the catalog and have bought a couple hundred $ online. Very happy with everything and am getting my next order ready. |

good to see youre back at it. reading back a few it is mentioned you just wanna drive it here and there, get in and go anywhere. looks like the engine choice will get'er done. lol.
