Need help on something!

When I removed my front end I thought that I would remember where everything went. Does anybody know where these brackets go? I also replaced my fenders. It is pushed up as far as it can go and the right door is rubbing. Everything is loose but I can't seem to adjust it right.

Re: Need help on something!

the triangle brackets with the two slotted holes side by side go on the top of the fender and seal the fender and Cowl area . The two longer brackets with bolt holes in each end go from the header panel or grille support to the rad support

I can get ya some tomorrow..... wedge piece top back part of fender under the cowl corner, fits perfect to the shape of the cab..... Long piece about the frame horn area ( bumper mounting area ), from the header panel to bottom of rad support.. should be holes in each for this.

I will get ya pics tomorrow

Re: Need help on something!

As for the fender rubbing, if thats an aftermarket fender, it's likely the bolt holes and the rear mounting hole are not in the right spot, mine weren't. The fender was even 1/4" shorter than stock.

Re: Need help on something!

As promised, here are the pics

long pieces should be no problem with the pics
wedge pieces will not have the holes in the top of the fender if your using new fenders

Re: Need help on something!

body mounts will make a HUGE difference in how your body gaps are. If you use new rad support mounts and old cab mounts or visa versa new cab mounts and old rad mounts. Even just old mounts all together. It looks like your fenders are closer at the bottom andwider at the top. This looks like collapsed front cab mounts, replace the mounts. You could even add shims to the front cab mounts to bring it up. Play around with this... use a jack and loosen the front cab mounts and raise it up and see what that does to your gap.

After looking again, it looks closer at the bottom ( hard to tell in the pic ) so work on the rad support mounts instead of the cab if this is the case.... Same procedure
