61 green paint

Im looking into painting my 61 apache 10...the truck was last painted in the late 90's but I'm not sure it was painted the correct color green..can anyone tell me the proper paint color? I found a neptune green color but not sure if this is the only option in green. Did they also make a darker forest green color too? Thanks for the help!

yes - woodland green

Glade green in 61, GM code WE5689. Dark green in 66 WE501 is whats on mine, just painted. Check out Auto/Truck/Fleet Paint Cross Reference at Paint Ref.com. It has every stinkin year, every stinkin code/color, every stinkin car/truck.

Glade Green = Woodland Green, both are paint option code 705, just different names by different paint folks - and sometimes names change between what is in a brochure to what it ends up being named on an option sheet, etc (and as live rust points out - they tend to change name over YEARS also). But still a 705 paint option in 61 regardless.

Joey, your truck looks pretty darn correct for this color (at least in your avatar).

That would be an appropriate name, the Red comes from my uncle who bought the truck in '61, but I like your thinking!
