Question Original drop spindles for '69?

Ok guys, any help here would be great. I have just converted my '69 swb to 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern to fit the TT II wheels I bought. I used 2" drop springs but they did not get it low enough. Now I cannot find any stock style drop spindles to finish the job. Does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I ended up going to Air Ride for the solution. Posts and pics to come.

What did you do to match the BP in the rear?

Does your truck still have drum brakes up front?
Or did you convert to disc brakes?

Re: Original drop spindles for '69?

I converted it to disc using Chevelle rotors and Camaro Gen II calipers. It came with the kit from POL.

In order to hopefully help with the stance issue, I bought an Air Ride kit. I think it could still benefit from some drop spindles but I am convinced they are not made.

They are made.
You'll just have to back out of what you have already done.

The kit you bought lets you save your original "drum brake" spindles.
The only reason for doing this is to convert to the 5x4.75" chevrolet car bolt pattern.

You would need to use 63-70 C10 drop spindles that are readily available from almost all suspension sources.
But this would require you to run rotors for the 5x5 2wd truck pattern or the early 63-70 6-lug pattern (6x5.5)

Re: Original drop spindles for '69?

You are right, the reason I went to this set up was to use AR wheels that I wanted.

Thinking this over now, Chevelle drop spindles would seem to work just as well... I think of this as the Air Ride setup in a day from being delivered.
