Now I have nu clue of what size and type I should order to have a nice collection on hand. Can you guys help me decide?

there are some shops over here selling them, but I see UNF and UNC and stuff and I am lost.

up here they were = in metric which is 14mm / or 9/16 engine bolts
7/16.....bout a 12
1/2.......13 kinda depends on rust lol
5/8...
but then it's tread or taper too and those depend on use, might be worth a look throught LMC cat.

nope. thats the reason I am asking over here. There is not a single bolt or not on the car I can replace with metric.

I have even bought UNC tools 1/4 and 5/16th and stuff to be able to work on it.

What I am looking for is a sort of overview of all the bolts and nuts on the car. That would be the best.

You might try Totally Stainless for your needs. They sell complete sets for your truck.

If your truck uses SAE nuts and bolts then an assortment of wrenches and sockets ranging from 3/8" to 1" should handle all the nuts and bolts on your truck. As far as having replacement nuts and bolts, you can always replace them with metric.

if it swre that easy. hahaha...the problem is that there will usaually be a socket welded into the car, so you cant just switch out the bolt. you would have to ground out teh socket ena make a new one in that place.

and I dont have that easy access to a welder for helping me on that.

se getting a nice box of assorted bolts and nuts would be great.

May want to try here.

http://www.boltdepot.com/Default.aspx

An assortment from 1/4-20 up to 1/2-13 would cover most of what you need. I would order the longest fully threaded ones and cut them down as needed. Not ideal, but it works.
