Very happy, but bummed too. I am finally ready to finish the roof, and the roofers could squeeze me in on Saturday - Hooray!!

Guess which Saturday - Super Chevy. Drat.

Here's a close up of the front porch beams and through tenons.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Back from the Super Chevy Show, Frankie had quite the mob scene most of the day. There was no "under construction" class, so no trophy's today. Here is the eventual modified class winner. 67 Anthony here on the board.

Oh yeah, it was a lot of fun to see them so astounded and then tell them it was all riding on a 2002 chassis, engine, etc. Then they really flipped out. Several guys (random strangers) just walked up and shook my hand and said congrats - pretty funny.

No grandpa comments yet. I need to have the full lie worked out and start in telling people it was a rare prototype. Just for fun.

What were your feelings about the Super Chevy event itself?
I was really disappointed in the last few I ever went to,... so I quit going.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Two things, I got collector insurance today that allows me to drive 6000 miles per year for $400 from Infinity. Hagerty first wanted $680 for only 75% of the value I wanted, then they said I couldn't pick up my daughter at school in it so they wouldn't even let me get coverage! I'm so glad they made me keep looking!!! More coverage for less money!
Secondly, Frankie is at the upholstery shop getting a headliner!! Yay!

It's more fun telling the story and watching their reaction.

I was thinking about having business cards printed to hand out with the build link.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Truck is looking awsome Drew... I wasnt aware that Infinity offered collector ins ,as i have 5 Insured now with Hagerty was with JC Taylor. The price seemed a lil high but i dont konw how much coverage you have . But i do like that they will let you drive it without it being a Car function.. I called and inquired about it and should have guessed ,they dont offer coverage in Ms.. Just my luck i will just have to tell them when i have a claim "Yes Sir i was going to a car show "

$40,000.00 and they never even questioned where my 6000 miles would be.

Just do a card with a QR code that is linked to page 1 of your build thread. You can make your own QR code by visiting a site like this...
http://qrcode.kaywa.com/
They can scan it with their smart phone and BAM! knowledge in the palm of their hand.
