There is definitely more affordable choices, I just wanted to post this new kit up. This is kit does have the integrated parking brake which is a advantage to some that like to have this.

No, the parking brake setup is included. The only extra charge is p-brake cables if you need them.

Re: New!: Wilwood D154 Rear Brake Kit
If you were to buy the D154 calipers at $360 at a good price, add caliper brackets for around $200, and rotors for $125 a pair...... you would be at $685, and still have no parking brake.
That is where I think, in my opinion, it is a good price for a rear disc conversion using the D154 caliper. And, if you have the D52 upgrade on the front, it will match. |

Re: New!: Wilwood D154 Rear Brake Kit
Ok, I see what you mean now..... make sense. I thought you were referring to the Wilwood D154 specifically. My apology.
I agree, you can piece together a kit cheaper. The Wilwood is just another option to consider if someone does want an aluminum caliper, cross drilled/slotted rotors, parking brake, etc. Not saying it is the cheapest route. Just saying it is a good price for this style of rear disc brake kit. - Travis |

Re: New!: Wilwood D154 Rear Brake Kit
looks like a high quality piece - and alum calipers are never cheap, anywhere... Ya gets what ya pay for and if you want high end, this might be on the ol shoppin list. Personally, I'm glad there are companies out there that make this kinda stuff for the vehicles WE all like, not just camaros and musdangs.
EDIT: fldawg, I'm a Cardone (i.e. less expensive sorta guy too) - BUT, Cardone at Oreily's and Wilwood are in different leagues in my opinion. |
