got my first C10
Well i just got my first C10 last week. My father-in-law passed down to me his old 69 lwb 350 with a 4 speed on two conditions. I had to unload the half of a camaro that was in the bed and i cannot ever sell it. Which is fine because my 4year old twin boys already claimmed it as theirs. Anyways my plans are to drop it with the 73+ front suspension on 245/60's and do a flip kit out back on 275/60's. Its got a mild cam and glasspacks on it now but flowmasters are deffinetly on the list of things that need to go on first. This truck hasnt run in a few years and was stoked to get her runnin once again. She's gonna be a DD so im not worried about the body in the least bit but i will say she is 99.9% rust free.
On a side not i have been on the site for a while now and have not seen but a few the same color as mine. I am wondering if someone knows the color name or at least post up some others the same color so i can see and get some ideas. |

Re: got my first C10
Thanks guys. Ive been making some good progress making it DD worthy. I got that huge tear in the seat covered with a kick ass mexi blanket. Got a "LATCH" system installed for my kids carseats and started on basic tune up parts. I would love to get ahold of some rallys but thats farther down the road. Lovin the patina on her.

Re: got my first C10
Tom, your paint color looks like 507 Light Blue. You can check your SPID to be sure. (your spid is the option sticker attached to the inside of your glovebox door.)
Great lookin truck!!! looks like very little rust and still pretty straight! Congrats!!!

The sheet is on there but too faded to tell what it says. The only thing i can make out is heavy duty suspension, rear leafs, 373rp with a posi.

Re: got my first C10
Me too! The bright colors radiate throughout the cab. My wife is a little mexi nugget so i just stole it from her. haha. The plan is to have it registered and driving down the road next weekend but i just found out that the only lights that work are the front parking lights. Process of elimination now.

Re: got my first C10
Not to sound dumb but your refering to the knob you pull to turn the lights on right.

Re: got my first C10
Welcome!!!The local auto parts store charged me $28.00 for a heater core. Most BB vendors will beat the prices at LMC and they support the website.

Re: got my first C10
Nice truck! I'm going to say its the light blue on the color chart. As far as buying mechanical or "hard parts" for these trucks its best to try your local auto parts store first, less money and no shipping. They should be able to fix you up with a heater core. I'm also lowering my truck, bought the rear flip kit from DJM off of e-bay. I think it was around $135.00, very nicely made kit also. Keep us posted. Joseph

Re: got my first C10
I think he is refering to the high/low beam switch that is down on the floor. The driver steps on it with his left foot.
