Mounting a trailer connector on factory sport bumper
Well, when I removed my step bumper I realized I no longer had anywhere to mount my trailer connector. I really didn't want to drill a hole through my OEM chrome bumper, nor do I like the under-bumper bracket mounts. So after a little tinkering, here's what I came up with:
Plate is off-center all the way to the driver's side, making just enough room. I also drilled a hole through the plate bucket in the lower license plate hole, so I could put a lynch-pin through there to attach a breakaway cable. And, just so you know, here's why I came up with it: Brand new trailer and tractor the old girl still has to work for a living

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: Mounting a trailer connector on factory sport bumper
That's slick. I see you even found a trailer with matching color.
