Need yall's advice

Im looking at switching out all the bushings on my truck
74 chevy shortbed 350 vin V
I noticed that I need to replace my control arm bushings
upper and lower
Ive looked online to see if i could maybe just replace the bushings in the control arms but everything i keep finding says to:
burn out the rubbers with a torch
Take out the sleeve with a air chisel
and with a press put them back on

problem is i dont have any of those tools

so i was thinking just replace the whole control arm
Ill get the new control arm, bushings, rods, bump stop, ball joint

What do yall think about that?
I went online to advanced and autozone and they were saying saying 130 for each upper control arm i was like 275 thats alright i guess

But upon looking online i found them for 70 bucks shipped?
what do yall think buy them from online?

make sure that online or anywhere you are getting a quality product. there are alot of asian models out there that are real junky.

Yea im going to do my research first and get me some good ones
do you think that would be my best route just buy the new control arm with everything on it already?
jus wanted to ask some people with more experience then me

on my 1982 i wanted to do that but twice they shipped me Dorman products for a c20 instead of a C10 so i just used my old ones over.. i was gonna change them out... eventually i will buy new ones

How did you change your bushings Then?
or are the the original bushings from 82?

I had a buddy who has a press six pack of bud brought everything over one night and just swapped it out and had a couple of beers next day installed the new control arms on the truck

But for that kind of money, you could buy some tools. You could also buy the bushings, and have a machine shop replace them. Just giving some options.

Most alignment shops will press out the old bushings and press the new ones in for you. A local shop did mine for $20 an arm, so $80. After ball joints, bushings, a tie rod end, I had about $200 in my whole rebuild.

theirs really no machine shops close too me, i will call a few aliment shops tomorrow then
i was thinking of just buying these because I also need the ball joints
but if i can get them pressed in for cheap along with the ball joints ill just take it too a shop

I just did mine, energy susp poly reds, 80 shipped from summit. LOcal shop charged 100 to press all bushings and ball joints.

Beware the risk of poly bushings!!! I love minefrom a performance view, my girfriends breasts hate them
