Helping a friend
Today I went on a road trip to help a friend bring her 72 home. It's pretty clean, needing a cab corner, and rocker on passenger side because of damage.

Re: Helping a friend
I like it! I wish the project trucks that we have around were as clean. If we find one only needing rockers and corners around here we concider ourselves VERY lucky.

Re: Helping a friend
Yeah, I wish mine was this clean when I started...I probably wouldn't have torn it down as much as I did
We got it home, and so far I've changed the oil and threw it on the battery charger. Here are a couple more pics. |

Re: Helping a friend
Trust me...I was not happy about riding in that fird either. It's another friend from work that went down and he offered to drive. Not a bad truck, but nothing I would own

Re: Helping a friend
That's a decent K/10 find. It looks like the rear cab mount cushions could use some help. Otherwise,a pretty straight looking truck.

Re: Helping a friend
Thanks all! She is pretty excited to have it closer. Her granddad bought it brand new in '72, and it spent most of it's life in a garage. He did have a CHEAP paint job put on it (and that shows). When he passed, she inherited it and she is now deciding if she wants to keep it or sell it. I'm trying to talk her into keeping it as it's pretty solid. It does need new body mounts as special-k mentioned, but there isn't one hole in the rockers or floor boards. It does leak oil which I'm thinking it's just the oil pan. I wish it were mine because it would be a lot less work than mine
