Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Here is a picture of my 1971 GMC sierra Grande which has factory air houndstooth seat and all the goodies. It still has the original drivetrain with only 82,000 miles. My father owned it and when he passed away it was left to me.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Dad and I spent a lot of time together so when someone says that hey like your truck ,or nice truck it always makes me think of him . I take very good care of it and have had it now for 3 years it usually makes it to the cruise ins and local shows that Dad would like to have attended.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
GMtrucknut, I understand about having your dads truck and wanting to take care of it. My dad passed away 4 years ago, and i got his 1971 C20 longhorn. He kept it in good shape, and I have continued to keep it up too. I think of him everytime i see the truck.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Speaking of that, anybody on the forum from Victoria, BC.? We were traveling to a neighborhood fish and chips place and I spotted a 67-72 short fleet in hugger orange in a driveway. I stopped and gawlked until my wife said, ".........get moving before someone comes out of the house and shoots you." I reminded her that it was Canada, but just to be sure, I jammed. Nice truck, for sure.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
This is me and my truck somewhere between 5 and 10 years ago. The situation was what happens when you combine a Big Block, Locker rear end, and too much throttle. It was a lot of fun getting here though!
Unfortunately, today it sits dissembled and buried in the garage. I was actually visiting this site to try and get motivated to head out to the garage and dig for "buried treasure". Last edited by abyssinian; 07-19-2012 at 02:19 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Hello, new member here...Just picked up a 69 Chevy SWB. Its got a Ls1 / 4l60e in it from an 02 SS Camaro. Here are some pics when I brought her home a few weeks ago. She is in the garage now and I am working on converting the brakes to disc. Its also 6 lug, so I think im going to convert over to 5, and put some wheels on it.
