Rear A/C wiring diagram
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the rear A/C on a 1972 GMC suburban. My manual has one for the front but nothing for the rear. I just picked a burb up and the rear blower doesn't work so I am trying to trace down the problem. Thanks

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
found a thread where folks were asking the same question, but no wiring diagram....plenty of ideas on what to check though....

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
would you happen to have an factory assembly manual??...I just looked at this thread post #9 where they are indexing the very confusing manual and saw that page 548 has a "AC Wiring from Compressor to Roof"....check that too https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...sOXcwVWc#gid=0

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
unfortunately I don't have an assembly manual. I did see that thread on the A/C last night but my relays look fine. I Just need to know what the wires go to, I only have three wires on the rear A/C switch up front and they all run to the back and plug in to the rear A/C. I am wondering where it gets its power from I would of assumed there would of been a power wire at the switch.

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
Alright I finally just tore the whole system apart today from the switch in the dash all the wiring headed back and pulled the unit off the ceiling. Found out that I had no power to the orange which I traced but couldn't figure out the problem so I ran a new one, then there was a bad ground on the blower motor in the back. Once I fixed those two things it worked!!! Now I am wondering if anyone has a pic of the "T" fitting up under the hood where the A/C lines head to the back, the one on the smaller lines is there but the one on the bigger lines is gone. I assume it's just a standard "T" but just wanted to check. Then I will get the system charged and see if it's a go or not.

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
Mine is still hooked up, so not sure if a picture of it would help....I assume you are wanting just a pic of the T itself....

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
hooked up is fine, that would give me an idea of where it goes to. I can see all three lines they are just sitting there and there is no "T"

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
Gcburdic any luck on a pic? Also I think I want to stay with R12 to get my system charged, but what if I can't find any, or anyone to do it, could I use that freeze 12 stuff or should I just convert?

Re: Rear A/C wiring diagram
Oops...sorry...with the holiday and all I completely forgot...tonight buddy!...I'm not well versed on AC stuff, but if you cannot find R12, the conversion requires you to change all o-rings and a few other items
