Could it be?!? ... a 3 door Suburban that actually brings the value of ours UP?!?

I will post the content of the Craigslist ad, because I know someone will likely set him straight and he will take it down...

"I have a good and solid Project for someone! It is one of the LAST 3 door Suburban! 1969 was the last year they were produced.Truck is very solid inside and out.Still has the original wood floor and in great shape. There is NO motor,NO tranny but all else is there. It came with a 396 and 400 turbo automatic tranny when new.It also has the special order REAR OVERHEAD AIR CONDITIONING with the OVERHEAD VENTS to the front. It does have a good/clear title and is ready to be restored. ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRES NEED REPLY!!! NO SPAM! THANKS FOR LOOKING! Please reply or call 910-585-3204"

SO... the way I see it is this, if "1969 was the last year they were produced", then my Burb must be SUPER rare. Must've escaped out the back door of the assembly plant as a prototype.

Somebody is probably gonna be a little p***ed when they buy it and find out they made them until 1972. haha.

Yeah, I saw the production numbers somewhere. They only made about 25-35,000 after his, although that may have been just the C10 2WDs.

Funny how the whole 3 door thing gets people all worked up.

Not too bad looking of a 'burb for that money; most trim looks to be there and the grille is decent. The body is either not too rust or bondoed over the holes. Bring 10 benjamins and see if he'll bite.

I just tell everyone I have a rare 5 door version (barn doors plus 3).

Or point out that 66 and earlier only had 2 doors, so I'm not that crazy for having 3.
