Bed assembly help-70 steel floor
I hope yall can help me. I have a 70 with a steel floor and new bedsides and tailgate. I have several questions.
1. Did you paint all the edges or just run with ecoat/primer? If yes did you just use enamel or the real stuff? We'll be doing Al's when we go to paint. 2. Did you assemble the panels into a bed of seam sealer? 3. Did you assemble to a set of measurements or just line up with the tailgate and headgate? Don't know why this has me so tripped out, but it apparently does. Any help yall can give is much appreciated, thanks! -Chip

Re: Bed assembly help-70 steel floor
Far as the alignment goes start the bolts towards the ends and do a X measurement. That will be from driver front to pass rear then opposite . the numbers should be very very close to the same. If not you can shift it around until they are .Once that is done you can tighten it up keep checking so it does'nt walk out when tightening the bolts. Then put the seam sealer down I think eprime on the edges will be plenty of protection on the parts that are overlapping
