Thanks D, I made one today, I cut the front section of the hump and raised the trans about 3". My lucky day, everything tucked where it needs to be. I got about 75% of the motor wired up. Gonna try to fire it up tomorrow.

Re: dbombs53 short box

I got the front inner fenders trimmed out, I'm gonna try to utilize the inner fender wells,..alot of cutting fitting,,,cutting fitting.. got it withing 1/4" with the truck all the way down. Painted the fender wells and the core support with a color called Hammered Black..not too sure I like it, but I wanna be driving already, so it's staying. Got my gas tank in and fuel lines hooked up. Just need fuel filters and I'll be ready to fire up..

Looking good Dom! Post that video of your engine! .. ..Jimbo, that is the 69-72 blazer tank. you can get it from any of the after market companies, it comes in a conversion to get the tank out of the cab.

Jim, Dloes correct, 67-72 replacement tank, kit usually comes with all hardwear and sending unit, I paid $215 locally here in Phx.

Thanks D, I'll get a video up soon, I'm planning on getting the exaust done this week.

Re: dbombs53 short box

Got the truck wired up and the radiator in, fired it up on Tuesday, but not very good quallity video, with open headers. During the mean time I also installed a wooden bed in my 70. I needed a change of pace.

Re: dbombs53 short box

Man I think you and DLoe (sp?) have the coolest looking 6cyl engines going on right now!

His fiesta green is awesome, but your black on blue with the 4bbl carb is to die for!
Out of curiosity, how many builds do you have going on at one time? I know you have this and the dually....

Thanks man, DLoe has been a big help with information and parts, never met him, but seems to be a super cool dude. Dino is another dude who's been awsome. I only have one build thread, I started one on my 70, it's about 90% done. Just waiting for parts for the 65 so I through a couple pics out on my 70.

That's funny you said that, some friends of mine said the same thing. For now, it keeps the dirt out of the carb. I'm looking for a billet oval one.
Thanks for the heads up!

Re: dbombs53 short box

I've been busy once again working on someone elses ride. This time it was a party bus, got it done and out of my way. On Monday I dropped off my truck and had a friend of mine make a new exhaust system. I went with 2" aluminized pipe with 12" glass packs (I think I made a mistake on the size) these things are loud and rappy. Not too happy with the sound. I'm going to roll with them for now and probably have him change them out later. He did a killer job though! Try to look past the frame not being painted, I'm gonna go back after I get everything mocked up and spray everything.

I have "heard" this too, but never seen it, nor can I say I have even met someone that has seen it.
I have one on both my rigs (my Tempest and the truck) but for my Tempest I keep it in the trunk for car shows.

My cousin had told me that he had the same air cleaner and the foam fell apart and clogged his carb.
