Steering column help?

Does the rod that goes from the linkage on the trans to the column have a locking mechanism to keep the rod from sliding up and down and if so does someone have a pic of it? Thanks

auto....or manual trans....might want to add that to your question....

i think they both do....there is a pic in another post just below yours and a few down...look at kev2809 post
