Heater blower motor???

I wanted to see if someone could help me! I have some kind of problem with my heater blower motor, I can not get it to come on. I have check the wire coming out of the firewall and it's reading 12 volts. I thought that maybe the motor was bad so I went and replaced it. So what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. I also just ran a hot wire from the battery to the new and old motor but the motor will not turn

Re: Heater blower motor???

I may be wrong here but the blower motor is a one wire, so the housing has to be grounded for it to work. Here is a picture of mine after I replaced my blower motor. Notice the ground wire coming from the blower motor.

It's exactly the same on a mid seventies Corvette, only you GOTTA have an earth with a fibreglass firewall.

Sorry about that, I'm trying to post an avatar and pressed the wrong button. I'll persevere.
