Re: bumper guard question
the bottom set look for a car. and i think maybe the truck ones up top could be a 71/72 bumper, i have original bumper guards on my truck and they dont have the black plastic. and the 71/72 bumpers are different than the 67-70

Re: bumper guard question
I don't think those top guards would fit a 71-72 either. The basic cross section of the 67-72 Chevy bumpers are the same, but the 71-72 bumpers have cutouts for the parking lamps.

Re: bumper guard question
ugh! I finally figured what the first set of bumber guards are for...Hopefully these will be my first and last f**d van parts purchase glad I really didnt waste too much on them!
I have been thinking (now that I know what they are for) that maybe I could get them trimmed up too fit a bumper allthough they wont be correct for my truck they would still look pretty cool. Even though I would have too get them blasted or something too follow my idea for the white bumpers I'm planning and before all that I would only be Into them for lil' under a happy meal price Watch out for them van parts f**d or some can be decieveing

Re: bumper guard question
i would say that the bumper guards are add on type, i have used these on several pickups...they just strap to the bumper , most bumper guards bolt to the bumper, i believe you could make them work on your truck....i know i would try and use them.....
