Energy Suspension Body Bushings
Anyone run these on their 60-66? The kit Part# 3-4137 comes with 1/2" bolts and washers for the rear two cab mounts and my stock ones are 7/16" My stock bolts could be re-used, but I shouldn't have to. The rear bolts screw up into a captivated nut in the floor so they have to be 7/16" This means all the washers and spacers for the rear set are oversized too. Again not a big deal as it is only a 1/16" but the kits should be correct for the 50.00 you spend on them.

Re: Energy Suspension Body Bushings
Selling them for years and never got a call about the wrong size hardware is what I was told today. Now I'm emailing them pictures. They seem to think most later 60-66's had 1/2 rear bolts. All I know is mine doesn't.( And I doubt that any did).
I will obviously need to run a 7/16" bolt with the rest of their stuff, it just pisses me off. I had to call another vendor too today because my big brake kit came with the wrong caliper to spindle brackets. Sending a new set out at the end of the week no charge but I actually hard to argue with them to convince them they were wrong. After putting me on hold for a few minutes he came back on the line and said "we sent the wrong brackets." I calmy said " I know that" Things got better from there. I actually did get to talk to the original person who took my order too. |

Re: Energy Suspension Body Bushings
Again, I'm sure I can make it work. I'm not cutting the captivated nuts out though. Mine did have locknuts supplied with those 1/2"bolts. They just seem to have a hard time grasping the fact that the stock rear most bolts are not 1/2" in diameter from the factory.
