Re: building a 77 gmc wrecker
cool thought. i would think you will need lots of leafs in the rear or a bag to keep the sag down. also how (if) you are useing a wheel lift are you going to clear it? still think its cool

Re: building a 77 gmc wrecker
Only if you chop the top, that is the problem with low riders I think, not many chop the top. I my opinion if you are gonna slam it, chop it!

Re: building a 77 gmc wrecker
Looks cool slammed!
Here are two 4x4 versions that I made many years ago based on this same kit. I’m excited they reintroduced this kit as well as the other snow plow truck and the 2 G-vans.

Re: building a 77 gmc wrecker
I've been ordering models from this guy the last few years.
This model is a must have, and this one and for sure this one.

Re: building a 77 gmc wrecker
Kitbashing ! I don't remember what I used from a front axle. That model was built probably 20 years ago. This wrecker kit is nothing new....it is a reissue of a reissue of a kit from the early 80's

Re: building a 77 gmc wrecker
When it comes to models they never bring out something old they just dig out the molds and resell it again. But some old models they don't remake and can be pricey to buy today.
