radiator question
I was in a hurry when replacing my '66 Suburban radiator... did not look carefully. Wonder if the u-shaped holding brackets underneath the radiator have bolt attachments to the rail that supports them ??
I used a full-size Pontiac radiator in place of the original radiator for a 305V6. It's a fine fit... almost ! The driver's side u-bracket is soooooo close to the new lower water outlet that the hose clamp has trouble sliding over the hose. If I could move that bracket juuusssst a bit closer towards the middle... it would be beautiful. Opinions and input, please. Thanks- |

Re: radiator question
Yes, I have moved the lower radiator saddles depending on the radiator application (e.g., to clear transmission cooler ports, etc.). I've drilled the new location on the lower mount and used a regular nut a bolt under the rubber bushing in the past to reposition the saddle(s).
