Anyone running a QuickFuel Slayer carb?
I've now had several people tell me that my Frankenstein Quadra-Jet is better off being replaced. I'm looking for a new carb and I'm considering a new (to me) Q-Jet and Edlebrock's 1406 600cfm. I stopped in my local hot rod shop this morning and they suggested that I consider a QuickFuel Slayer 600cfm as well.
If you have one of these, can you give me some input/feedback on it? I tried a search for this model on the site, and came up with nothing. There's input on other QuickFuel's but not specifically the Slayer that I could find. I'm looking for something simple that I can bolt on and drive that I won't have to mess with much. My trucks going to be drive it to work on nice days and to cruises on the weekend kind of truck. No racing, and not a daily driver. Thanks - Matt

Yep - Stock 350, automatic transmission. Recently cleaned.
Here's a link to the Slayer: http://www.quickfueltechnology.com/c...-slayer-series

Re: Anyone running a QuickFuel Slayer carb?
I dont have the slayer but do have a quickfuel 750 q series down leg boosters etc. etc. I pulled it out of the box and litterally ran it with minimal adjustment. I still have fine tuning to do but based on what i am seeing so far it is a great unit. It warms up quickly (no air horn so no choke) and runs very very well. You will likke it!
