Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Did some of the high hump install today. I cut out the old one and have the holes drilled for the mounting bolts. I ordered some 5/16" threaded square nuts to weld on the underside so it will be like a stock install. Once those are in and the bolts tightened, I will spot weld the forward firewall mating section in. I am transferring the gas pedal stud mount over from the low hump as the high hump had 1/4" nuts for the pedal studs and my stock low hump pedal mount studs are 5/16" thread. Pictures below:
stock low hump: Hole after removal: High hump in place: Porterbuilt stuff is scheduled to arrive sometime tommorrow. |

Very nice Impala! Are the front wheels smaller than the back with bigger tires?
Solid truck! |

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Yeah the Impala has 18" on front and 20" on rear. Truck will have 20" on front and 22" on rear. Same Coy's C-5 Gray wheels. (If they ever ship).

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Tuesday was a big day. Most of the Porterbuilt parts showed up. Few small items coming next week.
Look at the amount of work just in the Dropmember itself: |

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Still waiting on my rear bushings and heim joints and hardware kits for the rear stuff. I took my boy fishing today so will probably actually start putting some stuff together Thursday. Quality looks really nice.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I got started on the Porterbuilt install last night and today. Bunch of pictures, It is the Touring coilover version with four link and the weld in rear notches. Looks like the bed will need to be raised about 5-1/2" as expected. Everyhting is just installed loose so far. I also put the rear end housing mounts on the tubes but the are just tacked together and still rotate on the tube. I also plan on doing the crossmember bracing so I got a tabless PB truck arm crossmember too.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Thanks. I put the front coilovers in, checked out the panhard bar on the rearend, and set the rear coilovers in their mounts. I need to trim a gusset of the rear bridge mount to allow the coilovers to swing inboard slightly. I did a bunch of welding on the rear notches today and cut out the original frame section.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I did some more work today. Goal was to finish welding up notch lower caps and get rear end hung in place on the trailing arms. Nate is making me another bridge assy as mine apparently was not the right one for the coilover upper mounting. Here are some pictures:
