Rear end swap help

Hey,

Gonna be picking up the 65 C-10 here this weekend. Whoo Hoo

What is the popular 5 Lug rear end to get for our trucks?

Looks like once again the 73 and up seems to be a popular choice or going with the new 5 lug axl kit.

I believe later model axles are a tad wider which may cause complications depending on wheel choice etc. Then you have to weld on new perches etc. Moser axle makes axle shafts 5 lug for our trucks or you can take your old shafts to a machine shop and have them weld up and redrill the new pattern. Then you can just get new rotors for a 67-72 I think

if your truck is a "fleetside" you will have to cut 1" out of the lip on the wheel opening.

Thats not accurate. Wheel offset and tire size and diameter will determine clearance. Just decide what direction you want to go with the rear end and make sure you read and ask questions. Lots of smart people that have already done rear end swaps and 5 lug conversions on this site!
