Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Tried to work on putting the refit exhaust back on so I can start it up and get the new HEI dialed in better. I really needed to get it done so I could get my other truck in to put new to me wheels and tires on.....I got myself in a rush, and got irritated because nothing was working right. So I pushed the Chevy out and pushed it out of the way. I'll have to come back to it another day with a fresh head.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Started getting my garage in order to be my shop for the winter, lot's O' work to do B4 next spring!
The dash is something I grabbed at a swap meet, thought it would look cool in my basement, but, it is still hanging out in my garage. The steering column is to be rebuilt/painted to replace the wonky one held together with duct tape that is currently in the truck!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
My son, Carson, wanted to help me clean on the old truck. Then me and the wife took it out for a cruise. Little man has some growing to do before he can ride in it unfortunately. Here's a few pics.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Last night my son and I disassembled the steering column in prep to shorten it 3", replace the turn signal switch and paint it.

I plan to. I didn't, however, take pics of disassembly.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Ordered my TKO-600 today. Started pulling the front clip to make the engine/trans swap easier. Having trouble with the bumper bolts, but the rest of it was a piece of cake.
So much nicer not working on a rust bucket for a change! Should have the 230/ 3 speed out in a few hours, then spend some time cleaning and degreasing the frame, etc. Maybe throw some chassis black on there and make it pretty.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Pulled the inline 6 today and started cleaning the engine bay. Lots of caked on grease and dirt to scrape off!
Thinking of trying the oven cleaner on it. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Started removing the back suspension. Thank God for PB Blaster! I ran out so I couldn't get everything broke loose though.
The rear brakes were even worse than the front. Nothing can be saved including the drums. Basically everything but the rearend and the trailing arms will be replaced. The PO even had rubber blocks in the springs because they had sagged so badly. Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I like the way you did your saw horses, I was wondering how I could make my bed set straight when putting her back together. I saved one of the pics.
Thanks Jake

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Took out the driveline and transmission, unhooked all the wires, cables and linkages from the motor and bell housing to the cab, unbolted the motor mounts and waiting for the engine hoist to come back (on Tuesday). Bolted up the intake, water pump, harmonic balancer and pulleys to the new crate motor that's going in.
