OE in cab gas tank filler neck, help?
I'm doing in cab gas tank to aeromotive stealth fuel cell, under bed, swap.
But wanna keep the neck/cap portion @ cab, looks stock & a good place to hide my keys. Didn't really wanna have to hack the neck off the good tank coming out. Does anybody sell replacement necks? Or am I just gonna have to whack off original neck, any ideas?

You might want to check with your local radiator shops since many of them
do tank repair and you might find an old tank in their scrap. Good idea on the hiding place but maybe wait until the price of gas goes down lest you lose them to a gas thief. |

ETsC10 has a good idea. Or find an old leaky tank to cut up.

Re: OE in cab gas tank filler neck, help?
I have seen a few people modify fuel filler caps from marine supply stores just to make a "cap" to cover the hole.
I am also going to an under bed tank (EFI) but I plan to just drain and leave the tank behind the seat for the time being due to this very reason. |
