Re: Sally
Thanks for all the views, life has been crazy the last year but I am making time for a few pics, I am hopefully picking Sally up tonight after just shy of two years with an empty driveway!

Re: Sally
WOW! What a difference! So is this going to be a daily driver, or just a fun truck?

Re: Sally
Truck looks awesome. You got any pics of that motorcycle filler cap? I am looking at doing the same thing to our C10, but I don't have a clue how it all mounts together.

Re: Sally
Here are a couple more pics, if you guys want anything specific let me know and I'll snap them and post em up. James the cap is a weld in and here is how it looks from the top, not much to see from the bottom, we sprayed bed liner in all the wheel wells I can take a pic of the underside when I get time if you want, it fills decent about half speed at the pumps but I had to put 2 90's in the pipe to get it where I wanted so its what I expected it would be. That's a 32" lokar shifter if anyone is curious what height they were in our trucks, I love the look but the thing rattles and drive me nuts...

Re: Sally
Do you have a link to what kind of cap you used? I am just curious so I can see what I should be looking for. I am very new to this kind of stuff, but need to find something quick. I am having to fill our tank with a funnel and gas can right now because I can't get the filler nozzle far enough into our filler pipe to not spill gas all over the ground. Thanks for the help and pics.

Re: Sally
My non vented valve covers are giving me heck....just installed a vented baffle grommet in the block and made a 2" riser that will hopefully slow down the oil getting pulled into my carb..... Here are some pics of my newest inside additions, I originally made my ashtray into an iPod/iPhone Dock but apple changed the plugs so it's not as useful as it was. To prevent future interface issues I moved to the delete plate, I like the stock no stereo look so I pulled the plate and made a 22 ga insert that fits inside and welded threaded rod to each end where the original knob holes would be, I bent the rod so that it would act as a hinge and then I planned to cover them so they scratch the dash hole. Bending any sort of tubing over 1/4 in threaded rod proved to be trickier than I planned lol! I ended up using underground splice heat shrink, which is considerably heavier than standard and turned out pretty good IMO. I'm holding it shut with a magnet in the top corners. Here it is open and shut.

Sally is looking real nice. You are doing a nice job on your truck.
I understand that you need you speedometer rebuilt? Let me know. I can help you with that if needed. Take care, Tom
