Tire Size Help

When it come to tire size i have no idea what im doing so im in need of tire size help.I have a 1950 Chevy truck with a heidts mustang ii front suspension with 2" dopped spindles & a rear leaf spring kit.The wheels im going to put on the truck are 17x7 all the way around.What tires should i run? i want the rear tires a little wider

First off, you need to make sure you're going to have clearance. If I was you, I'd install the fenders and see how much room you have and go from there. Have you acquired the wheels yet? If so, what is the back-spacing? If not, here is a couple of diagrams to help you. As for brand, I personally like the BFG G-Force. They look great, in my opinion.

I guess i should have put a different pic up i have all the fenders on now and the 17X7 wheels. Now i need to figure out what tires to put on the truck ?

If you wanted the rear tires to be a little wider you might have gotten away with 8" rims if the b.s. would have been right... for a better ride get a tire with as much side wall as you can. Try American tire in Lake Forest they might be able to help...
